Quality and Outcomes

Our goal is to be the best provider of specialist care in London. We don't just strive to meet the expectations of the Care Quality Commission (CQC) who inspect our services: our mission is to surpass those expectations by some considerable margin.

Our top priority is always to put the interests of our young people first. In doing so, we seek to exceed the expectations of others whose input and respect are critical
to our success: the families who entrust their children to us and the commissioners who refer cases to London Care Partnership.

Feedback that matters
The young people who use our services make a crucial contribution to our quality monitoring system. They join in the same forum that invites praise and criticism from their support network, their families, external professionals and our own staff.

Acting on these and a number of other indicators, the Quality Service Manager will ensure that:
Services run smoothly
Homes are well managed
Systems of internal review are well maintained
Our services comply with the law
We follow best practice

Quality Training
Our biggest investment is in our people. Our Quality Programme ensures
that managers and staff receive appropriate training, supervision and support.
We instigate a mentoring framework so that new staff share the knowledge and experience of senior colleagues.

We invite Specialist Clinicians, experts in their fields, to provide additional guidance in areas such as autism, Asperger's syndrome, challenging behaviour and other areas of mental health.
Caring for Quality
Our dedicated Quality Service Manager, is there to ensure that all of our people and all of our services point towards the same goal.

We look at the quality of outcomes for our individuals, in the short term and the
long term.

We look at the quality of staff performance by carrying out regular reviews and assessments and encouraging a frank and open environment of dialogue.

We look at the quality of our services, benchmarking successes against measurable objectives.

Thanks to a comprehensive framework designed to measure performance and welcome feedback from all quarters, everyone at London Care Partnership has an input on quality, especially the young people we support.

Individual Outcomes
Just as everyone who comes to us is assessed at the outset, outcomes, too, are every bit as individual. Each person is encouraged to set their own goals when it comes to their quality of life. Each will develop skills at a pace that suits them. And each will be ready to move into the wider community in their own time.

Our job is to support and encourage them on their journey, keeping a record of their successes and keeping those around them informed – parents, social workers and commissioners.

Ultimately, we place the accent on good quality of life, gradually minimising behaviours that may be harmful or interfere with learning. In their place, we foster skills that will set them free to move on to more independent settings.
